Privacy Policy

The table above is a summary. The numbered sections below are the policy itself, and they govern.

§1Who we are and what this covers

iCodingLabs ("we", "us") publishes the apps this policy applies to. You can reach us at any time at info@iclabs.dev.

Apps covered by this policy:

If an app of ours is not on this list, this policy still applies to it; the list is a convenience, not a limit.

§2Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share:

• Names, email addresses, dates of birth, or any contact details
• Photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or calendar data
• Precise or coarse location
• Usage analytics or behavioural profiles
• Crash reports or diagnostic telemetry
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA). Ad requests are non-personalised, so no tracking identifier is requested and the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt
• Health, fitness, financial or payment data

§3Information we do collect

This table is the authoritative list. If a data type is not in it, our apps do not collect it.

§4Information stored on your device

Our apps save your progress and settings locally on the device, using Apple's standard on-device storage. We cannot read this data, and it is removed when you delete the app.

§5Third parties

Our apps use the following third-party services. Each receives only the data needed for the stated purpose, and each has its own privacy policy:

Purchases and downloads are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

§6Advertising in Find Your Carrot

Find Your Carrot is free to play and paid for by advertising: a banner while the garden is on screen, and a full-screen ad between games. No other app we publish shows any advertising.

The ads come from Google AdMob. Because the game is played by young children, every single ad request is tagged child-directed and non-personalised in the app's code. In practice that means:

• No interest-based targeting, and no profile of the player is built or used
• No advertising identifier (IDFA) is requested, so the App Tracking Transparency prompt never appears
• Google still receives the data in §3 — an IP address, the device and OS type, and whether an ad was seen or tapped — because an ad cannot be delivered, capped or paid for without it

We never receive any of it ourselves; we see only aggregate counts of ads shown. Google's handling is governed by how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services.

Because Apple's Kids Category does not permit third-party advertising, Find Your Carrot is rated 4+ but is deliberately not listed in that category. That is a consequence of showing ads, and we would rather state it here than have you discover it.

§7This website

This site — and only this site, not the apps — loads Google Tag Manager (container GTM-WGR9TBRW) so we can see which pages people read and whether our support documents are findable. Loading it sends your IP address, the page you are on, and your browser and device details to Google, which may set cookies in your browser. Google acts as our processor for this, under Google's privacy policy.

What it does not do: it is not present in any app we publish, it is not linked to any account, and we do not use it to build a profile of you or to advertise to you. Nothing measured here reaches the apps, and nothing in the apps reaches here.

To avoid it entirely, block third-party scripts in your browser, use a content blocker, or install Google's opt-out add-on. Every page on this site remains fully readable with scripts blocked — none of the content depends on it.

§8Children's privacy

Some of our apps are designed for children as well as adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction) beyond what §3 describes, and we hold none of it ourselves. We never build a profile of a child and never use a child's data to target advertising: the ads in Find Your Carrot are non-personalised and tagged child-directed on every request, which is what COPPA and GDPR Article 8 require of an ad-supported app for this age group. A parent or guardian may write to info@iclabs.dev with any question about a child's data. This design is intended to meet the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including Article 8, and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. The measurement described in §7 runs on this website only, which is written for parents and adults; it is not present in any app a child uses.

§9Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or erase the data in §3, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Email info@iclabs.dev and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or degrade the app for exercising these rights. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the app; for the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance purposes, we act as the data user.

§10Changes to this policy

If a future version of any app changes what it collects, we will update this page and change the effective date above before that version is released. The version of this policy in force is the one published on this page.
